Message: “Heart Giving”
Rev K. Anna Shin preaching
Theme: What we do with what we have makes all the difference in the world. In fact, what we do with what we have has the power to change the world.
True worship calls us to offer our lives, gifts, and resources to God, for use beyond our wildest dreams.
Prayer: Faithful God, expand our thankful imaginations:
to time beyond our time,
to wisdom beyond our wisdom,
to strength beyond our strength.
As we pray for your coming reign, remind us that the whole earth
is already yours.
Even as we pray for things not yet seen, help us celebrate your sure, eternal reign. Amen. (from ministrymatters.com)

“FIRST-Putting God First in Living and Giving”
Friendship’s Stewardship Campaign to conclude this Sunday.
This year the theme of our Stewardship campaign is “First -putting God first in living and giving.” We are excited about the message of this campaign not only because it encourages our members to be sacrificial givers but, more importantly, it encourages us as a congregation to be on a constant mission to expand what we do in our community and in the world.
Pastor Anna’s November sermon series will focus on four topics that relate to living and giving:
“Naming Our Idols-” Nov. 3
“Money, Work and Debt-” Nov. 10
“Be Faithful, Save and Give-” Nov. 17
“Heart Giving-” Nov. 24
A small group study “Shiny Gods” will be offered between services from 10:10-10:40 am for members and friends of FUMC. A short video presentation and discussion will focus on the topic of the week.
On Sunday, November 24, the members and friends of Friendship will worship together in one Unity service at 10:00 am. At this service, we will celebrate our gifts from God by making both a financial commitment and a service commitment to the Lord.
Following worship, we will partake of our annual Thanksgiving meal together when our “blessings” will be read aloud to the gathered community of faith.
