“Money, Work and Love”
Theme: So exactly how much is enough to live in contentment? Just a little bit more?
In a culture bombarded with shiny, life-promising distractions, it is hard to be content with what we have. What if the Giver of our life offered freedom from this downward spiral, would you take it?
Prayer: Our loving and caring God, we need this time together to be united with our sisters and brothers in the faith;
we need this time of worship to be comforted and strengthened in your presence.
Remind us again of your vision, that all might live in a world of peace and justice and love.
May this time together imprint this vision and promise on our hearts, that we may live into this beloved community. Amen. (from ministrymatters.com)

“FIRST-Putting God First in Living and Giving”
Friendship’s Stewardship Campaign is continuing this Sunday.
This year the theme of our Stewardship campaign is “First -putting God first in living and giving.” We are excited about the message of this campaign not only because it encourages our members to be sacrificial givers but, more importantly, it encourages us as a congregation to be on a constant mission to expand what we do in our community and in the world.
Pastor Anna’s November sermon series will focus on four topics that relate to living and giving:
“Naming Our Idols-” Nov. 3
“Money, Work and Debt-” Nov. 10
“Be Faithful, Save and Give-” Nov. 17
“Heart Giving-” Nov. 24
A small group study “Shiny Gods” is being offered between services from 10:10-10:40 am for members and friends of FUMC. A short video presentation and discussion will focus on the topic of the week.
